PHOTO MONTAGE

Version 2.

For this exercise, I used a photo of a lake, a picture of two different trees, a picture of a tree house, and one of a  boat. Although I really like the detail from the first version of the image, I personally prefer the second version because it has a better sense of unity thanks to the filter I added to the whole composition.

PHOTO EDITING BASICS

Image

For this exercise, I used the photograph that I used to show an example of “balance,” and edited on photoshop to improve it. First, I cropped the image to make it a little more simetrical. I also duplicated the image, and used an “overlay” blend mode on it, to enhance the photograph. After that, I selected the yellow areas of the original image, and changed the color to orange, in order to create a complimentary contrast with the color of the sky, which I also enhanced by using the “burn” tool to darken the color, and to make the clouds stand out a little more.
